We offer different PCB types based on your needs. These includes rigid PCBs, flex PCBs, rigid-flex PCBs, and special PCBs in a range of materials.
A standard rigid printed circuit board consists of copper, fiberglass, and resin. In order to achieve special characteristics, like thermal management, power, flexibility, or antenna performance, PCBs can be combined with other materials like aluminium, ceramics, polyimide, or PTFE. Layers are in this case defined as procured fiberglass with copper. Resin is typically used as adhesive between layers to form a multilayer (>4 layers) PCB.
Flexible PCBs or “flex”, is a way to accommodate special mechanical constraints, which a rigid PCB cannot. These are thinner and most often made from polyimide with special adhesives instead of resin. Other materials for special purposes, such as high temperatures, high frequency and thermal management are also available. Azitech can deliver most kinds of flex PCBs through our market leading suppliers.
Rigid-flexible PCBs incorporate the best of both rigid and flexible PCBs. They allow mechanical flexibility while still supporting more advanced circuitry like normal rigid PCBs. These are a specialty, custom-made by combining the right materials to meet specification.
Azitech has access to PCB production sites in Asia and in Europe, from where we supply single-, double-sided, and multilayer PCBs.
